Subscription FAQs
SUBSCRIPTION SHIPPING
When do the boxes ship?
Your first subscription box will ship out immediately upon purchase. After your first subscription box, your subsequent boxes will ship every 90 days. You can change your shipping dates at any time in your subscription portal.
The subscription boxes change every quarter, so depending on the date of your purchase, you will receive the subscription box for that quarter.
November 10 - February 10 -> Subscription Box #1 (Winter)
February 11 - May 10 -> Subscription Box #2 (Spring)
May 11 - August 10 -> Subscription Box #3 (Summer)
August 11 - November 9 -> Subscription Box #4 (Fall)
Is there a specific shipping date each month?
No, your subscription box will ship as soon as you purchase. Your subsequent boxes will ship every 90 days. You may change your shipping date in your subscription portal.

Where can I ship my subscription service?
We are currently shipping to all 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, and more than 25 international countries. For more details, see here.
Where do the subscription boxes ship from?
Our subscription boxes are hand packed with love and ship directly from our headquarters in Hillsborough, NC.
What do I pay for shipping?
Great news: subscription boxes come with free shipping (only applies to contiguous U.S.). International shipping rates apply.
How long will my subscription box take to arrive to me?
Our subscription boxes ship via FedEx Ground and generally will arrive within 7-10 days after departing our warehouse. We are in North Carolina, so typically shipments arrive a bit faster on the East Coast and may be on the longer end for the West Coast, Hawaii, and Alaska. We appreciate your patience!
Will I get a tracking number for my subscription box? Will I get notified once my box has shipped?
As soon as your box leaves our North Carolina warehouse, you will be emailed a link with your tracking number so you can keep an eye out for your box!
PAYMENT
What if I need to change my payment information?
You may change your payment information at any time in your subscription portal.
May I use a Happy Wax gift card on my subscription box purchase?
Yes, you may use a Happy Wax gift card on your subscription box purchase. You will need to contact our Customer Service team to use a gift card, so please reach out to hello@happywax.com for assistance with this.
May I use a Happy Wax promotional code on my subscription box purchase?
No, because this is a subscription box and not a standard item, we do not allow promotional codes to be applied.
What happens if my card gets declined?
This is a subscription box service, so you will be automatically charged every quarter or year depending on your selected payment schedule.
If we cannot successfully charge your card, your order will be placed on hold. You will receive an email notification from us to update your billing information as soon as possible. We will attempt to recharge the card again at a later date. If we are unable to charge you on the billing day, but manage to do it at a later date, your order will be shipped out with a delay.
If you do not update the payment information and it is declined 3 times, then your subscription box service will be automatically cancelled and you will be notified.
SUBSCRIPTION PORTAL
I’m having trouble logging into the subscription portal.
If you have trouble logging into the subscription portal please follow these steps:
- Double check the email address you used to sign up for the subscription. It is helpful to check your inbox to make sure you have previously received a confirmation email.
- Navigate to https://happywax.com/account/login and login.
- If you have not previously logged in you may need to activate your account by following the steps here: https://happywax.com/tools/recurring/get-subscription-access
- If you are still having issues, please reach out to us at hello@happywax.com and we can assist with getting you logged into your account.
How do I reset my portal password?
Please visit https://happywax.com/account/login and click “Forgot Password” to reset your account password.
RENEWALS
Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, your subscription will renew automatically. You will receive a notification before the end of your current cycle, at which time you can cancel or make changes to your package and/or size.
When will I be charged for the renewal?
You will receive an email notification 5 days before your renewal is set to process. If you would like to make changes or cancel please login to your subscription portal.
Will you notify me when my subscription box is up for renewal?
Yes, you will receive an e-mail notification approximately 5 days before your subscription box renewal.
CANCELLATIONS
Can I cancel for a refund in the middle of my service?
Yes, you may cancel your subscription at any time for a refund. You will be refunded for the amount remaining in your subscription plan. You will not be refunded for any boxes already received. For example, if you have received 3 of your 4 subscription boxes when you decide to cancel, you will receive the refund in the amount of the 1 remaining box.
If you’d like to cancel a pending order please get in touch with customer service at hello@happywax.com. We are unable to cancel or refund orders that have already been shipped from our warehouse.

Yes, you will receive an e-mail notification approximately 5 days before your subscription box renewal.
GIFTING A SUBSCRIPTION
How can I gift this service to a loved one?
After purchasing the subscription service, you can fill out a form that will then send e-mail confirmation to the recipient with details of their gift. Additionally, upon checkout, you can enter the shipping address as your giftee’s. Please note that since you can only add one shipping address, if you plan to purchase products for yourself, you will need to checkout separately.
DAMAGED ITEMS OR RETURNS
My subscription box arrived with damaged items. What do I do?
Your satisfaction is our #1 priority. Please contact us at hello@happywax.com and we will replace any damaged or defective items.
I am missing an item in my subscription box.
Our subscription boxes are packaged by hand in our Hillsborough, NC facility. While we check each order carefully, we may have made a mistake. Contact us at hello@happywax.com to make it right!
FRAGRANCES IN SUBSCRIPTION BOX
I know the subscription box introduces me to new scents, but I really hate the scents in my shipment. Can I exchange them?
All Happy Wax melts have a 100% scent satisfaction guarantee. That means if you are unsatisfied with a scent, you may contact us at hello@happywax.com for a replacement.
Please keep in mind that one of the benefits of the subscription box is the excitement of trying new scents. Not every scent will be your new go-to, but we ask that subscribers keep an open mind and embrace the adventure of trying new scents!
Will I know what scents I am getting in each box?
No, you will not know what scents you are getting in each box – that’s the element of surprise! We carefully select scents based on your preferences (Adventurous or Classic) and our expert fragrance experts pick a variety of scents for each box.
