How many bears do I get and how long do they last?

Our rule of thumb is typically to melt 2 bears at a time for 8 hours of scent time, giving you more value and "melt mileage" than other brands. That’s an estimated 60 hours of scent time with our 2oz Pouch, 120 hours with our 4oz Pouch, and 240 hours with our 8oz Pouch.

What packaging is used for the 4oz wax melts (Tin or Pouch)?

We are phasing out the 4oz Eco Tin and replacing it with a 4oz Pouch. This is a rolling transition throughout 2026. The packaging currently shipping for a specific scent is indicated on its product listing.

How do I get started melting?

We recommend starting with 1-2 bears in our Outlet and Mini Mod Warmers, 2-3 bears in our Signature or Mod Warmers, and 5-8 bears in our Mod Max Warmers. Mixing melts is highly recommended! How strong are the scents?

Scent sensitivity varies so greatly from person to person.  We do load our melts with the highest amount of fragrance oil possible, because we want your melts to last longer and travel further! This is also why our core shape is the bear- the smaller size allows for great “portion control.” If you are concerned about scent strength and it being too strong, just start with 1 bear and increase from there.

What are the ingredients in your wax melts?

Our melts are made with all natural soy wax. Unlike traditional paraffin-based candles and melts, soy wax is 100% plant- based and sourced from renewable American farm-grown soybeans. Our wax melts are scented with a proprietary formula of high quality fragrance infused with essential oils. These fragrance oils contain zero parabens or phthalates and are Prop 65 compliant. Additionally, our melts contain a small amount of dye that is toxin-free and Prop 65 compliant.

Are your wax melts safe to use around infants and children? 

When using our products around infants and children, we always recommend using adult supervision and keeping all wax melts out of reach of children. That being said, our fragrances are proudly safe to use around infants and children. At Happy Wax, we make all of our wax melts with all-natural organic soy wax and essential-oil infused fragrances. 

Additionally, all of our wax melts are proudly paraben, paraffin and phthalate-free.
